My 1998 Honda Prelude
We were installing a new alternator in the Prelude, when we discovered that the pulley
that drives the alternator belt had come loose!
This is on the engine crankshaft.
This pulley was held by a rubber layer which had shrunk and dried out.
No doubt this also serves as the harmonic balancer.
Here is a video of what NOT to do to fix it (except as a short stop gap).
Have any comments? Questions?
